The redesigned "K" Series Amana PTAC now features integrated Bluetooth and RF connectivity, along with a new Amana brand mobile app, which reduces unit setting and configuration time. This modern and streamlined design eliminates the user-operated control pad, requiring a wired or wireless wall thermostat for operation.
The Bluetooth and RF connectivity allows for advanced unit troubleshooting and diagnostics, accessible from either the wired/wireless thermostat or the Amana brand mobile app. Improved design and materials have been implemented to reduce operating noise and exterior/operating sound transmission, providing a more pleasant and quieter room experience.
The new Amana PTAC has achieved a Sound Transmission Class (STC 29) rating, making it quieter than previous units. Additionally, the design incorporates a new modern Quiet White color. Designed and assembled in the U.S.A. for over 45 years, the new Amana PTAC can now achieve an EER value of up to 14.0.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille, which are not included. The unit fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8" and can cool and heat an application area up to 850 sq. ft. The purchase includes the Amana MMW-2 Wireless Thermostat, which can control the Amana PTAC from anywhere in the room, with the appropriate antenna required for communication between the unit and the thermostat.
